I have been against the way the CFP wants to telecast the Semi-Final games on NYE unless its the Rose/Sugar Bowl that is hosting it, but I want to say that I have to admit that I’ve been guilty on being “East Coast Bias”. See if I was living on the West Coast, I wouldn’t have that much issue on the time slots and the day the CFP Semi-Final games on NYE would be on (unless of course if I was working during the games which some West Coast sports fans has an issue on with the time and day conflict). I honestly wanted to say that because sports and the media has been favorable to all parts of the United States except for West Coast with a few exceptions of course so West-coast citizens should be in celebration over this w/o anyone from the East-Coast trying to rain the parade and also people at a personal standpoint should check situations as a full glass cup instead of half-empty or half-full as best as possible.

With that said, it will be interesting to see which games (Cotton and Orange Bowl) will be on in either timeslot. My only issue is the Fiesta Bowl because they are getting the worst end of the stick in these New Year Six Bowls! They had a dull Boise St./Arizona Match-up and the game wasn’t close according to the boxscore (didn’t see the game nor highlights). The Fiesta Bowl earned its Worst rating last NYE honestly EVER! Now the Fiesta Bowl has an 11 AM local start time which is disrespectful to an underrated Bowl History they have and also I guarantee you they will more than likely get the less intriguing match-up of the 6 Bowl Games. I say when its their turn for the Semi-Final Game on NYE 2016, they should get the Better Match-up between them and the Peach Bowl and have the game at the PRIMETIME slot. Many may argue what about the Peach Bowl getting the worst end of the stick 2 with 2 years in a row being shown at an early timeslo? Well I would have to say that with them having TCU/Ole Miss 2 very good storied teams in 2014 and talented teams on both sides I honestly thought that was worth watching even with the early timeslot. It wasnt anyone’s fault why the game finished in a 49-3 tally, both teams came into the game with different mindsets 1 wanted to prove why they was snubbed to get in the CFP while the other team was exhausted from a Historical season and the competition of SEC they had and they were playing in a consolation game not a Playoff game. So that is why the Fiesta Bowl is at worst end than the Peach Bowl off TCU/Ole Miss game alone.

I wonder if ESPN will continue to fight against the CFP Committee and hope to have key people in the Power 5 Conference to support some changes in the day and time of the games for example like having 2 games each in a 3-day span or bring it back to what it was traditionally where games that didn’t involve the Championship (add the Semi-Final now) would have its own time and day with the exception of 2 on NYD. Those ideas would seem to be better than the 3 games in 2 day span. Of course we have to let everything play out, but those would be my suggestion and I honestly wish I could onto this earlier than now, but who knows what may happen in years to come.

This before my time, but didnt NBC use to air the Fiesta Bowl at 1pm when they had the Rose Bowl?
