Yet again, ratings dropped for NASCAR on ABC.
Saturday’s Banking 500 drew a 3.0 overnight rating on ABC, down 14% from a 3.5 last year, down 25% from a 4.0 in ’07, and the lowest overnight rating for the race since it returned to broadcast in ’02.
The 3.0 overnight is tied as the highest of the Chase for the Cup.
Saturday night’s race was blown out by Game 2 of the ALCS on FOX, which drew a 7.1 overnight.
