It may have been a rout, but Sunday’s battle of undefeated teams gave FOX a boost in the ratings on Sunday.
Sunday’s NFL singleheader on FOX, featuring the Saints’ blowout win over the Giants, drew an 11.9 overnight rating — up 32% from a 9.0 for comparable coverage on CBS last year, and up 12% from a 10.6 for last week’s singleheader.
The 11.9 is tied as the second-highest of the season for the NFL singleheader, behind only a 12.5 for coverage featuring Falcons/Patriots during Week 3.
Additionally, the 11.9 was just a tick lower than the 12.0 NBC earned for Bears/Falcons on Sunday night.
