Ratings continue to improve for ESPN Monday Night Football.
Monday’s Chargers/Broncos game drew an 8.3/13 U.S. rating (9.6 cable) and 13.5 million viewers on ESPN, up 15% and 18%, respectively, from a 7.2 (8.4) and 11.4 million for Giants/Browns during Week 6 last year.
The 8.3 rating is the second-lowest of the season for Monday Night Football, ahead of only a 7.6 for Chargers/Raiders during Week 1.
Chargers/Broncos outrated Game 4 of the NLCS by 144% (8.3 to 3.4) — the largest victory for Monday Night Football over a League Championship Series game since 1996 (170%: 18.9 to 7.0).
Through Week 6, ESPN is averaging a 9.4 U.S. rating and 15 million viewers for Monday Night Football, up 21% and 20%, respectively, from the same point last year.
