Regional action featuring USC/Oregon or Texas/Oklahoma State drew a 4.6 overnight rating on ABC Saturday night, down 36% from a 7.2 for Ohio State/Penn State on the comparable night last year, but the second-highest overnight of the season for Saturday Night Football.
Saturday Night Football trounced NBC’s Washington State/Notre Dame telecast by 207% head-to-head (4.6 to 1.5).
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Miami/Wake Forest drew a 3.5 overnight rating, down 33% from a 5.2 for comparable coverage last year.
