ESPN to Extend Deals With Kolber, Russillo
- ESPN has reached a three-year contract extension with NFL studio host Suzy Kolber, Those Guys Have All the Fun author James Andrew Miller reported on Twitter Monday. The move has not been officially announced. ESPN is also holding onto radio host Ryen Russillo, who announced via Twitter and on his show Wednesday that he is staying with the network. Simmons to Join HBO
- Former ESPN.com writer Bill Simmons has joined HBO as the host of a new weekly series, it was announced Wednesday. The multi-year agreement begins in October. Simmons’ current ESPN contract will expire the previous month. (HBO via TV By the Numbers)
Lundquist to Fill-in on Cowboys Radio Broadcast
- CBS college football broadcaster Verne Lundquist will fill in for Cowboys radio voice Brad Sham on the Week 1 Giants/Cowboys NFL regular season game, the Dallas Morning News reported last week. Lundquist is not new to the role, having done play-by-play for Cowboys radio broadcasts through 1983. (Dallas Morning News)
