One of ESPN’s longest-tenured hosts is getting a new deal and a new assignment.
ESPN announced Thursday that it has reached a contract extension with NFL host Trey Wingo, who will host a new Sunday morning edition of NFL Insiders each week of the NFL season. The news was originally reported by Awful Announcing.
The new edition of NFL Insiders will air at 10 AM ET, with Sunday NFL Countdown shortened to two hours at 11 AM. The latter had been three hours since 2011. Louis Riddick, Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen will round out the cast.
Wingo will continue to host NFL Live on weekdays and NFL Primetime.
ESPN also made official Thursday a contract extension with Suzy Kolber, who will be the permanent anchor on-site Monday Night Countdown coverage. That position was previously held by the late Stuart Scott.
