NHL, MLB, to Announce Partnership
- The NHL and Major League Baseball will announce a “groundbreaking new partnership” Tuesday afternoon. There was no official indication as to what the announcement will concern. According to the WEEI.com Bruins blog, MLB Advanced Media will begin operating the NHL’s digital platforms, including the league’s website and NHL Network. (WEEI)
Bayou Classic Moving to NBCSN
- The annual Grambling/Southern Bayou Classic will move to NBCSN this year, ending a 23-year run on the NBC broadcast network. As part of the channel change, the game will air at 5 PM ET — nearly three hours later than its previous 2:30 PM kickoff. (gsutigers.com via twitter.com/mattsarz)
Gameday to Visit Army/Navy Again
- ESPN announced Monday that College Gameday will end its season from Philadelphia for Army/Navy December 12, the second straight year it has visited the site of the game. The show will also open the season from the same site as last year, taking place from Fort Worth’s Sundance Square for the September 5 Wisconsin/Alabama game. (ESPN Media Zone)
