- Ron Franklin: The ESPN play-by-play announcer has been replaced on the network’s Big Monday college basketball telecasts. Franklin, who worked Big Monday telecasts since ’92, will instead call Wednesday and Saturday games during the upcoming season. Replacing Franklin and his partner Fran Fraschilla are Brent Musburger and Bob Knight. - Dottie Pepper: The golf analyst is leaving The Golf Channel to “focus solely on her NBC job.” Pepper, who was an analyst on 35 tournaments across The Golf Channel and NBC this year, told the Albany Times-Union that she’ll now have “[m]ore time for a life at home!” (Albany Times-Union, via Golfweek)
- A.J. Daulerio: The editor of Gawker’s Deadspin has been added as an additional defendant in former ESPN analyst Sean Salisbury‘s lawsuit against Gawker Media. Salisbury’s attorneys argue that Daulerio’s recent posts about rumored sexual misconduct at ESPN “show a direct correlation to his actions in respect to Salisbury’s suit.” Salisbury attorney Todd Harlow: “[Daulerio] expressed a clear purpose and embarrassed people for his own entertainment. … We thought it was warranted adding Mr. Daulerio as an additional defendant.” (McKinney-Courier Gazette, via Deadspin)
