Flutie Officially Named NBC Notre Dame Analyst
- NBC has officially named Doug Flutie the lead analyst for its Notre Dame football coverage, replacing Mike Mayock. Flutie was a studio analyst entering last season, but switched roles with Mayock in November — working the final two games of the season and the Notre Dame Spring Game in April. Replacing Flutie in the studio is newcomer Jonathan Vilma, who will work alongside the returning Liam McHugh and Hines Ward. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)

ESPN, NABJ, to Offer Internship in Honor of Stuart Scott
- ESPN and the National Association of Black Journalists have partnered to create an ESPN internship that will be offered in honor of the late SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott. The internship will begin next summer. The NABJ paid tribute to Scott at its convention last year, and per ESPN anchor Michael Eaves will induct him into its Hall of Fame at this year’s edition.
