USA Network is joining NBC Sports’ roster of Premier League broadcasters. In other news, the NBA schedule will reportedly be released next week, and Fox Sports has officially announced a multi-year deal with Premier Boxing Champions.
USA Network to Air Premier League Matches
- NBC Sports announced Thursday that USA Network will air weekly Premier League matches this season, starting with Watford/Everton this Saturday at 10 AM ET. USA is set to televise at least 40 matches, mostly in the 10 AM Saturday window. The new slate is in addition to the existing Premier League windows on NBC and NBCSN. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)
NBA Schedule Will Reportedly Be Released Tuesday
- The 2015-16 NBA schedule will be released on Tuesday, according to the Miami Herald, and as is usually the case some items have already been leaked. ESPN.com reported Thursday that the league is expected to schedule a Cavaliers/Warriors NBA Finals rematch on Christmas Day, the first such rematch on the holiday since Thunder/Heat in 2012. In addition, the Heat are tentatively scheduled to host the Pelicans in the Noon ET Christmas window on ESPN. (Miami Herald, ESPN.com)
Fox Sports Announces PBC Deal
- Earlier this week, Fox Sports officially announced a multi-year deal to carry Premier Boxing Champions events. Coverage will air on Fox Sports 1 Tuesday nights starting September 8, with 21 shows scheduled through June of next year. As previously noted, FS1 coverage will be hosted by former ESPN Friday Night Fights anchor Brian Kenny. (Fox Sports)
