CBS saw a steep decline for the featured game of its Week 9 NFL doubleheader.
Last week’s NFL national window on CBS, featuring Chargers/Giants, drew an 11.8 final rating and 19.3 million viewers, off 18% in ratings and 17% in viewership from a 14.3 and 23.3 million for last year’s comparable matchup.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Dolphins/Patriots drew an 8.7 rating and 13.9 million viewers, up slightly in ratings from an 8.6 for comparable coverage on FOX last year.
So far this season, CBS is averaging nearly 16 million viewers for NFL coverage, up 7% from last year.
