The Packers and Cowboys powered FOX to the second-highest NFL overnight of the season.
Sunday’s NFL national window, featuring Cowboys/Packers, drew a 16.9 overnight rating on FOX — up 8% from Colts/Steelers on CBS last year (15.5), and up 21% from Chargers/Giants on CBS last week (14.0).
The 16.9 overnight is the second-highest of the season for an NFL telecast on any network, behind only an 18.3 for Vikings/Packers earlier this month.
The last three NFL national windows on FOX (Week 7, 8 and 10) have drawn three of the four highest overnight ratings of the season.
FOX did not fare as well earlier in the day. Regional coverage featuring Falcons/Panthers drew a 9.1 overnight, down 13% from a 10.4 for last year’s comparable window on CBS, and down 18% from an 11.1 for last week’s window, also on CBS.
