- The ratings game: Thursday’s Texas/Texas A&M game drew a 27.5 in Austin, a 13.3 in Houston, a 12.8 in San Antonio and an 11.5 in Dallas — making the game the highest rated college football telecast ever on ESPN in each of those markets. (Dallas Morning News)
- Idle note: With Allen Iverson returning to the 76ers, it should be pointed out that ESPN recently dumped its previously scheduled December 9 Pistons/76ers game, replacing it with Bulls/Hawks. Currently, the 76ers are scheduled to make just one national television appearance this season — a New Year’s Eve game against the Clippers on TNT.
