A high-scoring near-upset of the nation’s #2 team was not enough to boost college football on FOX.
The TCU/Kansas State college football game drew a 1.8 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, down a tick from Arizona State/USC last year (1.9) but up 39% from TCU/Oklahoma in 2013 (1.3).
The Horned Frogs’ win had the weekend’s lowest college football overnight on broadcast, finishing a tick below NBC’s Navy/Notre Dame game (1.9). Head-to-head, it trailed Miami/Florida State on ABC (2.7) and Arkansas/Alabama on ESPN (2.5).
So far this season, FOX has aired the lowest rated game on broadcast in five of six weeks. The only exception was week four, when NBC brought up the rear with Massachusetts/Notre Dame.
