The first flex scheduling move of the season paid off for NBC.
Sunday night’s Vikings/Cardinals game, which replaced a previously scheduled Patriots/Dolphins matchup, drew a 13.7/21 overnight rating on NBC — up 23% from Vikings/Bears in Week 13 last season (11.1/17), and up 9% from Steelers/Ravens last week (12.6/20).
The 13.7 overnight is the fifth-highest of the season for an NFL telecast on NBC.
Sunday’s game drew a 46.1/63 in Minneapolis and a 31.7/46 in Phoenix. Milwaukee was the top neutral market, with a 23.8/35.
Vikings/Cardinals drew the second-highest NFL overnight of the day, behind only the national window on FOX (mostly Cowboys/Giants), which drew a season-high 18.9 overnight.
