After some delays due to the holidays, here are the final numbers from Week 16 of the NFL season.
The Week 16 NFL national window (mostly Broncos/Eagles) drew a 16.3 final rating and 28.2 million viewers on CBS December 27 — up 38% in ratings and 47% in viewership from an 11.8 and 13.8 million for last year’s Week 16 national window (mostly Falcons/Vikings, FOX).
Compared to the previous week’s national window (mostly Packers/Steelers or 49ers/Eagles, FOX), the telecast was up 8% and 9%, respectively, from a 15.1 and 25.8 million viewers.
The Week 16 national window stands as the third-most viewed NFL telecast of the season on any network, behind only the Week 7 national window (mostly Falcons/Cowboys, 28.4 mil) and the Week 8 national window (mostly Vikings/Packers, 29.8 mil).
Additionally, the telecast stands as the highest rated, most-viewed of the season on CBS.
Earlier in the day, CBS drew a 9.4 final rating and 15.8 million viewers for regional NFL action featuring Ravens/Steelers. Ratings for last year’s comparable window were unavailable.
Versus the comparable window a week earlier (mostly Falcons/Jets, FOX), the telecast was up 40% in ratings and 52% in viewership from a 6.7 and 10.4 million viewers.
