Overnight ratings dropped double-digits for Monday night’s battle of BCS busters in the Fiesta Bowl.
Boise State’s win over TCU in the Fiesta Bowl drew an 8.6 overnight rating on FOX Monday night, down 26% from an 11.6 for Ohio State/Texas last year, but up 2% from an 8.4 for West Virginia/Oklahoma in ’08.
The 8.6 overnight is the third-lowest for the Fiesta Bowl in the BCS era. Only the aforementioned 2008 game and the 2005 game drew lower overnights.
The game drew a 22.8 rating in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Ratings in Boise were not available.
