Another Increase For Warriors on Nat’l TV
- Wednesday’s Mavericks/Warriors NBA regular season game drew 2.1 million viewers on ESPN, up 83% from Wizards/Suns last year (1.1M) and up 2% from Bulls/Spurs in 2014 (2.0M). Of the twelve nationally televised Warriors games that can be compared to last year (excluding NBA TV), ten have had increases in viewership with nine up by double-digits. Earlier, Rockets/Spurs scored 1.6 million — up 36% from Nets/Hawks last year (1.1M) but down 60% from Thunder/Heat in ’14 (3.9M). (via ShowBuzz Daily)

- Chicago Blackhawks NHL regular season games have averaged 3.89 rating on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, off 10% from last year’s full season average (4.3). Averages at the comparable point of last season were not available. CSN Chicago averaged a 4.66 rating during the Blackhawks’ recent 12-game winning streak, during which it aired nine games. Aussie Open Women’s Semis Down Double-Digits
- The women’s semifinals of the Australian Open, featuring the Serena Williams/Agnieszka Radwanska match, earned 752,000 viewers on ESPN2 Wednesday night — down 23% from last year, when Williams faced fellow American Madison Keys (980K), and also down 4% from 2014, when she did not advance to the round (785K).
