NASCAR Xfinity Series Hits High at Talladega
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Talladega (AL) had a 1.9 final rating and 2.9 million viewers on FOX last Saturday, up 19% in ratings and 21% in viewership from last year (1.6, 2.4M), up 36% and 39%, respectively, from 2014 on ESPN (1.4, 2.1M), and the series’ largest audience since the 2013 season opener at Daytona (3.4M). The past three Xfinity Series races, and four of the past five, have posted a year-over-year increase. (Fox Sports)
F1 Continues Slow Start Last Weekend
- Last Sunday’s Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix earned 296,000 viewers on CNBC, down 16% from last year (354K) and down 26% from 2014 (402K), both of which aired on NBCSN in October. Viewership has now declined for three of the first four F1 races this season. (via ShowBuzz Daily)
Taped NHRA Up Big From Live Coverage Last Year
- Tape delayed coverage of the NHRA at Houston scored 605,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1 last Sunday evening, up 52% from live coverage last year (399K) but down 10% from taped coverage in 2014 (673K), both of which aired on ESPN2.
