Uptick For Women’s PGA Championship
- Final round coverage of the Women’s PGA Championship earned a 0.7 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, up a tick from last year (0.6) and tied as the highest LPGA overnight in nearly two years, since the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open (1.7). Golf Channel earned a 0.5 for its coverage later in the night. On Saturday, third round action had a 0.5 overnight on NBC — down a tick from last year (0.6). (NBC Sports)
F1 Canadian GP Unsurprisingly Low on NBCSN
- Abbreviated coverage of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix had a 1.1 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon. NBC’s coverage lasted for just 15 minutes due to an extended NBC News special report. Copa America Minuscule on FOX Opposite NBA
- The Argentina/Panama and Chile/Bolivia Copa America group play matches had overnights of 0.9 and 0.8, respectively, on FOX Friday night. The telecasts, which aired opposite Game 4 of the NBA Finals (12.0) rank among the lowest rated sporting events ever on primetime network television.
