Move to ESPN Boosts NBA Summer League
- Coverage of the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League averaged a 0.2 rating and 267,000 viewers on the ESPN family of networks, up 100% in ratings and 181% in viewership from last year on NBA TV (0.1, 95K). Monday’s Bulls/Timberwolves championship game scored 366,000 viewers, up 161% from Spurs/Suns last year (140K). (ESPN)
IndyCar Toronto Viewership Up Big
- Tape delayed IndyCar Series racing from Toronto, which aired after live NASCAR coverage, earned a 0.3 final rating and 530,000 viewers on NBCSN last Sunday — up 200% in ratings and 170% in viewership from last year (0.1, 196K) and flat and up 10%, respectively, from 2014 (0.3, 484K). It delivered the second-largest IndyCar audience of the season on cable, behind Iowa the previous week (534K), and the series’ eighth-largest audience ever on NBCSN (dates back to 2009).
