One of the bigger names in the UFC gave FOX a slight boost in the overnights on Saturday.
UFC on FOX 20, which featured Holly Holm‘s loss to Valentina Shevchenko, earned a 1.9 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night — even with last year’s July telecast and up 19% from the July window in 2014 (1.6). Compared to the most recent UFC on FOX window in April, which aired opposite Premier Boxing Champions on NBC, overnights increased 36% from a 1.4.
Saturday’s telecast tied the highest overnight for UFC on FOX since January of last year (2.0).
For the weekend, UFC on FOX was the top sporting event on broadcast and the second-best overall — trailing only NASCAR’s Brickyard 400 on NBCSN (2.8).
