NBC saw increases for both of its Stanley Cup Playoff games over the weekend.
Saturday’s Predators/Blackhawks Game 5 drew a 1.3 overnight rating on NBC, up 8% from both Penguins/Flyers Game 6 last year (1.2) and Flyers/Capitals Game 5 in ’08 (1.2), and up 44% from Flames/Red Wings Game 5 in ’07.
Meanwhile, Sunday’s Coyotes/Red Wings Game 6 also drew a 1.3, up 30% from Capitals/Rangers Game 6 last year (1.0), even with Red Wings/Predators Game 6 in ’08 (1.3) and up 18% from Devils/Lightning Game 6 in ’07.
Predators/Blackhawks drew a 6.9 in Nashville and a 7.8 in Chicago. Meanwhile, Coyotes/Red Wings drew a 3.8 in Phoenix and a 14.0 in Detroit.
