With just one more game to go before the NBA Finals, ABC’s NBA Playoff ratings are up double-digits.
ABC is averaging a 3.3 rating and 5.0 million viewers for coverage of the 2010 NBA Playoffs, up 10% in ratings and 9% in viewership from last year (3.0, 4.6 mil).
Sunday’s Cavaliers/Celtics Game 4 drew a 4.2 final rating and 6.6 million viewers, up 31% in ratings and viewership from Lakers/Rockets Game 4 last year (3.2, 5.0 mil), up 2% and 7%, respectively, from Lakers/Jazz Game 4 in ’08 (4.1, 6.2 mil) and up 50% and 65%, respectively, from Pistons/Bulls Game 4 in ’07 (2.8, 4.0 mil).
Game 4 ranks as the second-most viewed game of the playoffs, behind only Game 5 of the same series on TNT Tuesday night (6.7 mil).
Additionally, the game stands as the highest rated, most-viewed non-Game 7 second round game on ABC since Lakers/Spurs Game 5 in ’04, which aired in primetime (6.0, 8.6 mil).
