Overnight ratings dropped across the board for the Little League World Series championship games.
The Maine-Endwell (NY)/South Korea Little League World Series final earned a 1.7 overnight rating on ABC Sunday afternoon, down 39% from Japan/Lewisberry (PA) last year (2.8) and down 51% from South Korea/Chicago in 2014 (3.5).
The 1.7 overnight is the lowest for the LLWS final since at least 2011, when metered market figures were not reported due to Hurricane Irene.
The previous day, the Maine-Endwell (NY)/Goodlettsville (TN) U.S. Championship had a 1.8 overnight, down 28% from Lewisberry (PA)/Pearland (TX) last year (2.5) and down 50% from Chicago/Las Vegas in 2014 (3.6).
Rounding out the weekend, the South Korea/Panama International Championship drew a 1.3 overnight, down 19% from Japan/Mexico last year (1.6) and down 24% from South Korea/Japan in ’14 (1.7).
