Both games pulled the same rating, but last week’s Pac-12 doubleheader went in sharply different directions on FOX.
FOX earned a 1.3 final rating and 2.2 million viewers for last Saturday’s Arizona State/Washington college football game, down 50% in ratings and 49% in viewership from Baylor/Oklahoma State last year (2.6, 4.3M) but up 18% and 7%, respectively, from Texas/Oklahoma State in 2014 (1.1, 2.0M).
Washington State/Colorado had the same 1.3 rating with 2.1 million viewers earlier in the day, up 117% in ratings and 150% in viewership from UCLA/Utah last year (0.6, 845K) and up 86% and 105%, respectively, from Washington/Arizona in ’14 (0.7, 1.0M).
For the season, the two games rank as the fourth-and fifth-most watched on the FOX broadcast network (14 telecasts).
Over on Fox Sports 1, Oklahoma State/TCU had a 0.3 and 508,000 Saturday afternoon, up a tick in ratings and 40% in viewership from Iowa/Kansas State last year (0.2, 363K). Texas Tech/Iowa State had a 0.2 (flat) and 346,000 (-12%) later in the day.
