Regional action featuring Braves/Mets drew a 2.1 final rating and 3.094 million viewers on FOX last Saturday, up 5% in ratings and 2% in viewership from coverage featuring Yankees/Angels last year (2.0, 3.029 mil), and up 11% and 22%, respectively, from comparable coverage in 2008 (1.9, 2.532 mil).
This marks the highest rated, most-viewed afternoon MLB telecast on FOX since coverage featuring Yankees/Red Sox on May 8 (2.5, 3.658 mil) — and the only afternoon telecast since then to draw at least a 2.0 rating.
Keep in mind FOX aired two primetime telecasts this season, both of which topped 2.0.
Through the All-Star break, FOX is averaging a 1.8 rating for regular season MLB coverage, down a tick from last year (1.9).
