The final game of the Giants/Braves NLDS drew solid numbers on TBS, but was down both from last year and 2008.
The Giants’ Game 4 win over the Braves drew a 3.0 U.S. rating and 4.667 million viewers on TBS Monday night, down 6% in ratings and 10% in viewership from last year (PHI/COL G4: 3.2, 5.204 mil), and down 17% and 18%, respectively, from 2008 (LAA/BOS G4: 3.6, 5.720 mil).
Despite the declines, Monday’s game performed well relative to other postseason clinchers this year.
The 3.0 rating tied the Yankees’ series-clincher against the Twins Saturday night (3.0) and topped the Phillies’ Sunday night clincher against the Reds (2.8).
Game 4 was the third of the four-game Giants/Braves series to draw at least a 3.0 rating. By comparison, just one of the three Phillies/Reds games topped 3.0.
