For just the fourth time in twelve telecasts this season, ABC had an increase in college football ratings.
Regional college football action featuring Texas/Nebraska drew a 3.6 final rating on ABC last Saturday afternoon, up 13% from last year (MIN/PSU*: 3.2), but down 22% from 2008 (ND/UNC*: 4.6).
Viewership for the telecast was not immediately available.
The 3.6 rating is the third-highest of the season for college football on ABC (12 telecasts), behind only afternoon regional coverage on October 2 (4.4) and Saturday Night Football on September 18 (4.7).
This marks the fourth time this season that ABC has had an increase in college football TV ratings.
Saturday’s telecast topped both the SEC on CBS (2.9) and Notre Dame football on NBC (1.3).
