After hitting a season high for Auburn/Alabama one day earlier, CBS dropped back towards Earth for Saturday’s LSU/Arkansas clash.
Arkansas’ win over LSU drew a 4.2 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, down 18% from last year (FSU/UF: 5.1), but up 68% from 2008 (MISS/LSU: 2.5).
Keep in mind the corresponding week of the 2008 college football season did not take place over Thanksgiving.
Of the 15 college football telecasts on CBS this season, Saturday’s matchup ranks directly in the middle of the pack.
Just one day earlier, CBS drew a season-high 7.5 overnight for Auburn/Alabama.
