Overnight ratings rose by double-digits for both games of Sunday’s Week 15 NFL doubleheader on CBS.
Sunday’s Week 15 NFL national window, featuring Jets/Steelers in 92% of TV markets, earned a 16.8 overnight rating on CBS — up 11% from Week 15 last year (GB/PIT*: 15.1, FOX), and up 10% from Week 15 in 2008 (PIT/BAL*: 15.3, CBS).
The 16.8 overnight is the tenth-highest of the season for an NFL telecast on any network (does not include NFL Network), and the third-highest for a telecast on CBS.
That said, this is the first time in three weeks that the NFL national window did not draw at least an 18.0 overnight.
For the fourteenth time in fifteen weeks this season, the national window topped NBC’s Sunday Night Football (GB/NE: 15.2).
Earlier in the day, CBS earned a 10.7 overnight for the first game of its doubleheader, up 26% from last year (ATL/NYJ: 8.5, FOX), and up 5% from 2008 (BUF/NYJ: 10.2, CBS).
