Despite a decline for coverage on Sunday, NBC’s two-day average for the Accenture Match Play Championship was up substantially from last year.
NBC averaged 2.5 million viewers for coverage of the Accenture Match Play Championship last weekend, up 71% from last year’s tournament on CBS (1.5M), and the highest average for the event since Tiger Woods last won in 2008.
Sunday’s coverage drew a 1.7 final rating and 2.6 million viewers, off 19% in ratings from last year (2.1, CBS).
Meanwhile, Saturday’s action drew a 1.7 and 2.5 million viewers, up a whopping 113% in ratings from last year (0.8, CBS).
