The latest chapter of the Bruins/Canadiens rivalry has been a hot draw for Boston’s NESN.
The Bruins’ double-overtime Game 5 win over the Canadiens earned a 13.0 rating on NESN in Boston Saturday night, the third-highest rating ever for a Bruins telecast on the network.
Game 4 of the series two nights earlier earned a 10.8 rating, the fifth-highest Bruins rating ever on NESN. Game 3 earned a 10.7 last Monday night, ranking sixth all-time.
The only other Bruins games to rank in the top six were all Game 7s: CAR/BOS Game 7 in 2009 (#1, 14.1), PHI/BOS Game 7 last year (#2, 13.2) and MTL/BOS Game 7 in 2004 (#4, 11.2).
