The third game of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals hit a season-high in overnight ratings, building on the already strong numbers for Games 1 and 2.
Sunday’s Bulls/Heat Game 3 earned a 7.7 overnight rating on TNT, up 26% from last year (LAL/PHX G3: 6.1), and up 17% from 2009 (CLE/ORL G3: 6.6).
The 7.7 is the highest of the series, topping the 7.4 overnight for Games 1 and 2.
Game 3 drew a 24.9 rating in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale market, up 11% from Game 2 (22.4), and a series-high. In Chicago, the game drew a 22.5, down 9% from Game 2 (24.6), and a series-low.
