Steep Drop For K-State-Oklahoma on FOX
Last Saturday’s Kansas State-Oklahoma college football game earned a 1.3 rating and 1.99 million viewers on FOX, down an unsurprising 77% in ratings and 80% in viewership from Penn State-Ohio State last year (5.8, 9.87M). Last year’s game was one of the highest rated and most-watched of the season.
Earlier in the day, Wisconsin-Northwestern drew a 1.5 and 2.24 million — up 15% and 14% respectively from West Virginia-Oklahoma State in 2016 (1.3, 1.96M). There was no comparable window last year.
Over on FS1, last Thursday’s Baylor-West Virginia game topped the week nine charts with a 0.35 and 577,000.
ESPN’s “Basketball” Doc Hits High
The ESPN documentary series “Basketball: A Love Story” hit series-highs with 648,000 and 730,000 viewers Tuesday night, well above the previous high of 578,000 for the debut episode earlier this month. In previous weeks, the show aired opposite NBA Opening Night or the MLB Postseason.
Vegas-Nashville Up on NBCSN
Tuesday’s Golden Knights-Predators NHL regular season game drew 227,000 viewers on NBCSN, up 105% from Lightning-Islanders in the same window two years ago (111K). There was no comparable game last year.
