Though he still has yet to make his debut on college football coverage, new Fox Sports broadcaster Gus Johnson could add a new, high-profile assignment.
Fox Sports’ president Eric Shanks expressed interest to USA Today in using Johnson on the network’s pre-and-post fight UFC coverage. UFC will retain production control of the actual fights themselves.
While at CBS, Johnson was part of the broadcast team for the network’s EliteXC and Strikeforce coverage.
