Overnight ratings declined for both games of Sunday’s NFL doubleheader on CBS.
The Week 11 NFL national window, featuring Chargers/Bears in 79% of TV markets, earned a 14.2 overnight rating on CBS Sunday — down 15% from Week 11 last year (IND/NE: 16.7), and down 5% from Week 11 in 2009 (NYJ/NE*: 14.9).
The 14.2 overnight is the second-lowest of the season for the NFL national window (eleven telecasts). Only the Week 4 national window (DEN/GB*: 13.6) earned a lower number.
Despite the relatively low numbers, the national window earned Sunday’s top NFL overnight, topping Sunday Night Football on NBC (PHI/NYG: 14.0).
Earlier Sunday, regional NFL action drew an 8.4 overnight on CBS, down 24% from Week 11 last year and Week 11 in 2009 (11.1 both years).
