NCAA Week 13: Ohio State/Michigan Hits Four-Year High on ABC


The rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan hit a four-year high in overnight ratings on ABC.

Saturday’s Ohio State/#15 Michigan game earned a 5.3 overnight rating on ABC, up 10% from the same matchup in Week 13 last season (4.8), and the top college football overnight of the weekend on ABC.

The 5.3 overnight is the highest for the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry since 2007 (6.4).

Later in the day, regional action including #5 Virginia Tech/Virginia drew a 3.2 overnight, down 16% from last year (NWU/WISC*: 3.8), but up 14% from 2009 (MIA/USF*: 2.8).

In the nightcap, the #22 Notre Dame/#6 Stanford Saturday Night Football game scored a 4.1 overnight — down 21% from last year (OU/OKST*: 5.2), and down 23% from 2009 (ND/STAN*: 5.3).

On Friday, Iowa/#21 Nebraska earned a 2.2 overnight, down 12% from last year (WVU/PIT: 2.5) and 2009 (ILL/CIN: 2.5). In the late game, Boston College/Miami earned a mere 1.5, down a tick from last year (COL/NEB: 1.6), and down 21% from 2009 (NEB/COL: 1.9).
