The Fourth of July is traditionally one of the least-watched nights of the year, but MLB on FOX put up solid numbers nonetheless.
Regional Major League Baseball action on FOX drew a 1.75 overnight rating Saturday night, down 24% from last year, when coverage featured Yankees/Red Sox (2.3), and down 30% from 2013 (2.5).
Despite the decline, the telecast was just the third of the past 21 regular season windows on FOX (dating back to September 2013) to top the 1.7 mark.
Keep in mind MLB on FOX faced very little sports competition Saturday night, trouncing NASCAR Xfinity Series racing on NBCSN head-to-head (1.0).
