As a disclaimer, I do not profess these comments to represent the prevailing opinion of any group, whether they be sports fans or Americans in general. Additionally, these are the most incendiary comments, meaning that there are many comments that do not quite approach the level of severity as the ones sampled here.
With that in mind, the level to which several have gone in their disapproval of Michael Vick’s actions reveals a component to the dog fighting scandal, and perception of it, that some have denied exists. The fact that such comments are not isolated, but instead appear on several occasions (the eight comments sampled from the Vick indictment Fanhouse article appear in the first twenty-eight comments) indicates that there may be a sizable portion of the sports public for whom distaste for Vick far exceeds his alleged actions.

The most dangerous cities in this country are the ones with high Black populations (look it up). I can’t even visit our nation’s capital without taking extra precautions! And don’t give that tired old poverty excuse. The city of Atlanta has the most affluent Black population in America, and one of the highest violent crime rates! Actions speak louder than words- we tend to judge others by their actions. You can talk a good game, but your actions will give you away every time. O.J. Simpson was found innocent of trying to cut his wife’s head off, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, by a jury comprised almost solely of Blacks! After the verdict was read, the media showed White people in shock, while Blacks were dancing in the streets! If Simpson had been found guilty by a predominately White jury, L.A. would still be burning. Why didn’t whites riot? It all goes back to that culture of violence inherent in the black race. Actions from idiots like Vick serve as constant reminders of it. There is an old saying- “With equal rights comes equal responsibility”. Maybe your parole officer can explain it to you.
