- Bill Pidto: The former ESPN anchor explained his departure from the network to Eye on Sports Media‘s Christopher Byrne. Pidto: “It was really just time to move on. I had been there 15 years, and I had a lot of great experiences. You reach a point where there is not much more you can do and you have to move on if you want to grow.”
- Chris Russo: The former Mike and the Mad Dog co-host is expected to sign with Sirius/XM Radio as soon as tomorrow. Newsday and the New York Post both report that the satellite radio network will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the hire of a “major sports media personality.” The Big Lead says “the deal is for $15.5 million over five years“, and that Russo is “not only getting a show, but his own channel.”
- Ron Borges: The former Boston Globe columnist, who retired from the paper after a plagiarism scandal last year, has resurfaced on WEEI. Borges will write a twice weekly “Patriots-centric column” for a revamped WEEI.com.
