- Mark Cuban: The Dallas Mavericks’ owner has published several incendiary e-mails from fans following Josh Howard‘s comments regarding the U.S. national anthem. Cuban not only published the e-mails, but the names and e-mail addresses of the commenters.
- Matthew Barnaby: The former NHL player is expected to replace Barry Melrose on ESPN during the upcoming 2008-09 NHL season. Barnaby, “whose motor mouth always endeared him to the media“, would likely perform in the same capacity as Melrose, making appearances on SportsCenter and ESPNews. Melrose left ESPN over the summer to take over the head coaching role for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
- John Smoltz and Curtis Granderson: The Atlanta Braves pitcher and Detroit Tigers centerfielder will be part of the TBS MLB broadcast team during the upcoming postseason. Granderson will be returning to the studio, where he worked as a guest analyst during last year’s playoffs. Meanwhile, Smoltz will work as a game analyst, with his play-by-play partner as of yet unnamed.
