- Joseph Band: The part time FOX Sports statistician, who primarily works as a lawyer for the U.S. Marshals Service, has been accused of improperly arranging “for deputy marshals to provide vehicle escorts” for FOX Sports announcers Joe Buck, Tim McCarver and Troy Aikman in 2007 and 2008. In a statement, FOX Sports VP/Communication Dan Bell said the network had been “unaware … that those arrangements were in any way inappropriate.”
- Vin Scully: The longtime voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the former voice of Major League Baseball games on NBC, was voted the top sports broadcaster of all time by the American Sportscasters Association. Scully was joined in the top five of the 50-person list by Mel Allen, Red Barber, Curt Gowdy and Howard Cosell.
- Billy Packer and Bobby Knight: The former CBS analyst and the current ESPN analyst are teaming up for Survive and Advance, a “a series of five one-hour” shows dedicated to the NCAA Tournament. The show will air on FSN from the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas, primarily on Sundays following NCAA Tournament games.
