For the first time in four years, ratings increased for the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on CBS.
The NCAA Tournament Selection Show drew a 4.8/10 overnight rating on CBS Sunday evening, up 9% from a 4.4 last year, and the highest rating for the program since the 2005 edition drew a 5.7.
The 4.8 overnight rating was the highest of the weekend for any sports program on broadcast, ahead of the final round of the WGC-CA Championship on NBC.
Despite the increased rating, the 4.8 overnight rating is tied as the third lowest in the past fourteen years for the NCAA Tournament Selection Show. After drawing at least a 5.0 overnight for ten consecutive years (1996-2005), the Selection Show has drawn an overnight below 5.0 for four straight years.
