ESPN viewers may have noticed that the new and improved BottomLine did not last very long.
The new, sleeker BottomLine that debuted on Monday as part of SportsCenter’s new graphics package was replaced with the previous version less than 24 hours after it debuted. An ESPN spokesperson says that “there were some technical complications” with the new BottomLine, but it will “return soon.”
Meanwhile, SportsCenter was not the only ESPN property to get new graphics this week. ESPN debuted a version of its Monday Night Football dashboard for NBA coverage on Wednesday. Those graphics are set to extend to ESPN’s other sports properties, though “there is no timetable.”
