ESPN has its most viewed NBA season for the second straight year.
NBA telecasts on ESPN averaged a 1.13 U.S. rating (1.3 cable) and 1.68 million viewers during the 2008-09 season, up 6% and 14% respectively from a 1.07 (1.3 cable) and 1.47 million viewers last season.
The 1.68 million viewers is the most ESPN has ever averaged in a single NBA season. Over the past two seasons, ESPN has seen 19% growth in ratings and 29% growth in viewership.
ESPN saw solid increases in key demographics, including an 11% increase among adults 18-34, and a 13% increase among adults 18-49.
