- HBO is set to debut its new Joe Buck-hosted talk show next month. The first episode of Joe Buck Live will air on Monday, June 15 at 9 PM ET. The first episode will focus on “sports and celebrity,” focusing on — among other things — bloggers and gossip columnists. Joe Buck Live replaces Costas Now, which ended after host Bob Costas left HBO for MLB Network.
- More details continue to emerge about the 2009 college football schedule. The annual USC/UCLA game has been moved up a week from December 5 to November 28, and will air on Fox Sports Net as opposed to ABC. In lieu of USC/UCLA, which aired on the final Saturday of the college football season for many years, ABC will televise USC/Arizona. Meanwhile, the Oregon/Oregon State Civil War game will air on ESPN Thursday, December 3.
- A “server issue” at Nielsen has caused three straight days of delayed television ratings, and “it will be at least until [Wednesday] before any new numbers are issued.” While overnight ratings for Saturday were eventually released, the overnights for Sunday and Monday as well as the weekly ratings will not be available until Wednesday “at the earliest.”
