The Magic conjured up some viewers for their Game 7 triumph on Sunday night.
Game 7 between the Magic and Celtics drew strong ratings in both Orlando and Boston. In Orlando, Game 7 drew an impressive 16.0 rating, easily the highest rating of the season for a Magic game in the market. The 16.0 is well above the 8.8 rating the series had averaged for the first six games. The previous high for a Magic playoff game this season was a 9.8 for Celtics/Magic Game 4.
In Boston, the game drew a 16.1 rating from 8-10:45 PM, down from the 17.3 Bulls/Celtics Game 7 drew in the market earlier this month. The 16.1 topped the 14.2 Hurricanes/Bruins Game 7 the previous Thursday. Not a single Celtics or Bruins playoff game could match the 17.9 rating the Red Sox’ home opener drew in April.
