Despite the strong ratings for Game 1 and less competition, ratings for Game 4 of the Red Wings/Blackhawks West Final fell off on NBC.
The Red Wings’ blowout win over the Blackhawks drew a 1.5/4 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon. There was no game on the comparable date last year, but the 1.5 overnight is off 25% from a 2.0 for Blackhawks/Red Wings Game 1 the previous Sunday.
Overall, NBC averaged a 1.8 overnight rating for its two Conference Final games, up 13% from a 1.6 overnight for two games last year.
